Every Thursday I walk within 20m of a working neuclear reactor on my way to and from my office. [edited to add] That is, 20 meters from the core. I actually only pass about 2 meters from the outside wall on my way to the shuttle bus to the parking lot.

A working reactor.

Playing with a Nikon Nikkor 12 – 24mm f4 lens with the Nikon D-80. I love it so far. Here’s an image of the boy taken just after I took the lens out of the bag.

Lovely.
Not much to add beyond the usual plattitude: live every day to the fullest.

sigh.
Working on the water mains on a dark, snowy night.
